An actress and an actor carry out their experiment in a studio primarily designed for sound recording. The space, furnished in the modernist style of the 1950s, is housed in a building dating back to the Austro-Hungarian period. The performers’ experiment draws inspiration from the lectures of physicist Richard Feynman. In the natural sciences, an experiment is a controlled observation and measurement process explaining why and how phenomena occur and recur. It helps us distinguish the essential from the irrelevant and to see the familiar from a new perspective. In science, an experiment is considered successful when it consistently produces the same result. But how does this apply to the performing arts? This theatrical performance explores a fundamentally different premise. In art, an experiment is deemed successful precisely when it never yields the same result. Innovative and conceptually bold, this original project by director Tomislav Šoban was developed in collaboration with dramaturge Marin Lisjak, the performers, and the creative team.

The production received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the Biennale of Stage Design (BiSD), the Award for Best Production at the 34th Marulić Days Festival, and the Award for Best Direction at the 48th Fadil Hadžić Days of Satire. Nina Violić won the Award for Best Acting Achievement at the 34th Marulić Days, while Livio Badurina received the Mladen Crnobrnja Award for his role at the 48th Fadil Hadžić Days of Satire.
