Jane Austen – Leo Mujić
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
Ballet Pride and Prejudice was created after the iconic literary classic by Jane Austen in the choreography and direction of Leo Mujić, to selected music of English composers of various generations. The well-known story of a sensitive, intelligent and broad-minded girl Elizabeth Bennet, who, like her four sisters has to marry a rich husband, takes place in the lavish salons of 19th century England. This is not an ordinary love story, neither in the literary or ballet form, it is much more. Many consider this novel as an overpowering and impeccable written work that became an ideal model for a ballet choreographed by Leo Mujić whose excellent adaptations of classics we have already seen on our stage. The audience was thrilled with this new ballet and some of the interpreters of distinct roles were granted awards for their creations.
