The International Ballet Competition Mia Čorak Slavenska carries the name of the greatest Croatian primaballerina who achieved a prestigious career on world stages, especially in the United States of America and who, during the 20th century promoted Croatian ballet art worldwide.
The competition has two categories, Junior until the age of 19, and Senior from 19 to 28 years of age. This year the Jury members are Dr Simona Noja-Nebyla, Director of the European Grand Ballet Prix, Alin Gheorghiu, ballet director of the Bucharest National Opera and Joseph Morrissey, Director of Dance of the Interlochen Centre of the Arts, USA.
Slavenska Prix consists of the Competition and a Gala Ballet Concert, which will be held on July 5th. Read more.
