The ballet Gala concert Slavenska Prix is the peak of the International Ballet Competition Mia Čorak Slavenska which will be held on July 4th 2024. The Competition carries the name of the greatest Croatian primaballerina who achieved a prestigious career on world stages, especially in the United States of America and who, during the 20th century promoted Croatian ballet art worldwide.
Selected dancers of the competition will show their virtuosity at the Gala concert, performing attractive solo variations and pas de deuxs, as well as contemporary choreographies and their dancing will be a synthesis of expression and form, presenting ballet art through tradition and innovation. Special guests Inès McIntosh, première danseuse of the Paris Opera and her partner Giulio Diligente will dance the Grand pas de deux from ballet Don Quixote.
The organizer and artistic director of the Competition and the Gala concert Slavenska Prix is academician Dr Svebor Sečak.
