Murder by Hanoch LevinDrama — 18. February 2023.

Murder staged after the text of the contemporary Israeli writer Hanoch Levin by the Israeli
director and actor Ida Rozenberg premiered at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. It is
Rozenberg's first cooperation with the CNT in Zagreb.

The cast for this large-scale ensemble performance is: Dragan Despot, Filip Vidović, Luka
Knez, Dominik Čičak, Tin Rožman, Milan Pleština, Jelena Otašević Babić, Rok Juričić, Vibor
Kreković, Luca Anić, Lovro Juraga, Tesa Litvan, Barbara Vicković, Silvio Vovk, Lana Barić,
Franjo Kuhar, Kristijan Potočki, Ivan Jončić, Marin Stević, Damir Markovina, Kristijan
Petelin and Martin Kuhar.

The creatives also include guests from Israel: Shani Tur, the set designer and Keren Granek
the lights designer. Ana Mikulić created the costumes, Šimun Stankov stage movement and
Ivan Marušić Klif, video. The music was selected by Ido Rozenberg, the sound editor and
composer was Nikolina Belan, assistant director Marta Tutiš, assistant set designer
Aleksandra Vukićević and assistant costume designer Josip Đerek.

Staging Levin's text, Ido Rozenberg carefully and unobtrusively, balancing realism with his
sub- and super-variations, throws at the spectators, besides questions about humanity and
life, life and death, an additional question on the nature of the body and its relations to
humanness; to what extent are we our bodies and how much are our bodies a part of what
(we think ) we are; how is the spirit connected and interwoven with the body and how it
dwells in it and leaves it, says Ana Fazekaš.
