General Manager and Artistic Director of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Iva Hraste Sočo, PhD, has been appointed Chair of the International Jury of the FEDORA Opera Prize 2027, one of Europe’s most prestigious awards dedicated to fostering innovative opera projects and advancing new artistic practices.
Since 2013, the FEDORA Prizes have supported innovative opera and dance projects and, through international collaboration, have become one of Europe’s leading platforms for shaping the future of the performing arts.
As Chair of the FEDORA Opera Prize Jury, Iva Hraste Sočo will lead an international panel of distinguished general managers, theatre directors and leading European opera experts in selecting the projects that will help shape the future of European opera.

The call for applications for the FEDORA Opera Prize 2027 opened on 1 July. Following the application period, a shortlist of projects will be selected in September, with the nominated projects announced and crowdfunding campaigns launched in November. Public voting will take place during the spring of 2027, while the winners will be announced at the FEDORA Prizes Ceremony in the summer of 2027.
