HNK Zagreb’s ‘Tannhäuser’ Available on OperaVision from 19 June to 19 December 2026Opera — 17. June 2026.
Richard Wagner’s opera Tannhäuser, produced by the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, conducted by Srba Dinić and directed by Frank Van Laecke, will be available to international audiences on the OperaVision platform from 19 June to 19 December 2026.
Tannhäuser, one of Richard Wagner’s most significant works, explores the conflict between sensual passion and spiritual redemption through the story of a knight and poet searching for forgiveness, faith, and his place in the world. The Zagreb production offers a contemporary and compelling interpretation of this masterpiece, directed by the acclaimed Belgian stage director Frank Van Laecke, and was created in co-production with the Slovene National Theatre Maribor.
Its presentation on OperaVision marks an important step in the international promotion of the artistic work of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, enabling audiences across Europe and around the world to experience this production. The project also features young artists of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, for whom OperaVision provides an opportunity for international visibility and the presentation of their work to a broad audience.
OperaVision operates within Opera Europa, Europe’s largest network of opera houses and festivals, which continuously supports the accessibility of opera, international collaboration, and the development of new generations of opera artists.
Tannhäuser will be available to audiences worldwide on OperaVision from 19 June to 19 December 2026.
