The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb Opera Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Maestro Ivan Repušić and featuring world-renowned opera stars Erin Morley and Laurence Brownlee, will bring Zagreb Classic 2026 to a close with the gala concert Golden Age. In doing so, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb once again affirms its artistic excellence and international reputation by taking part in the grand finale of this renowned festival, organised for many years by the Zagreb Tourist Board, which has established the Croatian capital as an important destination on the international classical music map.

On Friday, 3 July 2026, at King Tomislav Square (with a reserve date of 4 July in the event of unfavourable weather), the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb Opera Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Maestro Ivan Repušić and featuring world-renowned opera stars Erin Morley and Laurence Brownlee, will bring this year’s festival to a close with the gala concert Golden Age.

The programme presents a selection of the finest arias and duets from the golden age of bel canto while also serving as the Croatian concert launch of the acclaimed album Golden Age, recorded by Erin Morley and Laurence Brownlee with Maestro Ivan Repušić for the prestigious record label Pentatone.

The concert continues the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb’s successful collaborations with leading international artists and once again highlights the exceptional quality of its own artistic ensembles. Audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy performances by artists who regularly appear on the world’s foremost opera stages, alongside the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb Opera Orchestra and Chorus, whose numerous international projects and guest performances in recent years have earned widespread acclaim.
