Theatre breakfast Rusalka - opera fairy-tale was held on Monday, May 5, 2025 in the Foyer of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb on the occasion of the opening night of opera Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák.
The moderator was Zrinka Turalija and the Zagreb audience, in an interaction with renowned artists, got better acquainted with the fairy-like opera whose mythological template with powerful female characters is attractive still today and its rich melody, intertwined with Slavic musical idiom shows Dvořak's creative achievements in their full glory.
In a relaxed atmosphere guests who spoke were maestro Srba Dinić, a frequent guest of the Opera of the CNT in Zagreb, stage director Caterina Panti Liberovici, who worked on three previous projects at the CNT in Zagreb, opera principal Valentina Fijačko Kobić who is singing th title role and the national principal Dubravka Šeparović Mušović who is singing the role of Ježibaba.
Valentina Fijačko Kobić accompanied by Darijan Ivezić sang Rusalka's famous aria Song to the Moon, while Dubravka Šeparović Mušović sang Ježibaba's aria from the first act Čury mury fuk.
Rusalka is scheduled for May 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16, 2025.
