Soloists of the Opera of the CNT in Zagreb appeared at the 23rd Gostič Days in SloveniaOpera — 16. October 2023.
On Sunday, October 15, 2023, the soloists of the Opera of the CNT in Zagreb participated in the manifestation that is held as homage to the opera singer Joža Gotič in the Slovenian town of Homec. This is an international cooperation between the Cultural Society of Joža Gostič from Homec, the Opera of the CNT in Zagreb, Friends of the Zagreb Opera and the Slovenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ljubljana.
The festive concert was dedicated to maestro Vladimir Kranjčević who back in 2000 on the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Gostič in the same Church of Virgin Mary in Homec, joined great Croatian and other opera soloists in one concert. The soloists of the Opera of the CNT in Zagreb that performed at this concert were Darija Auguštan, Ivana Lazar, Emilia Rukavina and Davor Nekjak, accompanied by Ivan Šćepanović on the organ, soloists of the Slovene National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Ljubljana Nina Dominko, Dejan Maksimilijan Vrbančić and Jože Vidic, accompanied by Irena Zajec on the piano and the Chorus of the Slovene National Opera and Ballet Theatre led by Ayrton Desimpelaere.
This concert that was held in the historical sacral building was an opportunity for the soloists of two Operas to perform the most famous arias together and they were praised by the numerous spectators with long applause.
