Cooperation agreement signed between the CNT in Zagreb and the Academy of Dramatic ArtFrom the theatre — 21. June 2023.
The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb and the Academy of Dramatic Art have signed a cooperation agreement that defines mutual rights and obligations relating to pedagogical practice of students of the Academy. The cooperation and the work with artists and other employers of the CNT in Zagreb will contribute to the professional profiling, networking and perfecting of young artists who are currently studying at the Academy.
The general manager of the CNT in Zagreb Iva Hraste Sočo and the dean of the Academy Davor Švaić expressed their pleasure with the signed agreement for the benefit of students and the theatre.
This way the CNT in Zagreb opens the door to students of all departments of the Academy of Dramatic Art and offers all students a platform for acquiring new knowledge necessary for work in a professional theatre, said the general manager Iva Hraste Sočo pointing out how with this contract the two institutions will realise even a greater level of cooperation and enable students to acquire an insight into the work of a professional theatre through assistance, practice and artistic research.
We are convinced how this model will improve the successful long-term cooperation between the Academy of Dramatic Art and the CNT in Zagreb, said dean Davor Švaić and mentioned how the Academy of Dramatic art developed a program for professional practice in the performative and audiovisual segment in order to ensure direct connection and communication between students and a professional surrounding in the area of culture and art for which they are studying.
