35th artistic anniversary of ballet principal Ervina SulejmanovaBallet — 25. February 2023.

On February 24, 2023, the ballet principal of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb Ervina
Sulejmanova will mark her 35 th artistic anniversary.

She was born in 1970 in Amalik, Uzbekistan and in 1988 she completed the ballet academy in
Tashkent and became a member of the Bolshoi theatre in Tashkent. Between 1992 and 1994
she was a member of the ballet ensemble of the Croatian National Theatre in Split. In 1994
she became a member of the Zagreb Ballet and in 2008 she was promoted to principal dancer.
She danced in more than 50 ballet productions in Croatian National Theatres in Zagreb, Split
and Rijeka, the Macedonian national theatre, on tours throughout Croatia and abroad with
Ballet troupe Croatia and as guest artist in Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Thailand, USA,
the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany. She was a very versatile, graceful and elegant
ballet artist and created great roles in classical white ballets, as well as in the modern
repertoire, working with numerous prominent choreographers. She is a recipient of several
awards such as the silver medal at the ballet competition of young dancers in Ashgabat in
1989 and the Croatian Theatres' Award for the role of Kitri in ballet Don Quixote in 2005.
