Uncompromising poet of surrealism and Aiaxaia or the Power to say

On Monday, October 28th 2024, at 8 pm, the Drama Hall of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb will host a Film Vaultdedicated to Radovan Ivišić, and on the occasion of the premiere of King Gordogan. The program consists of three parts. First, the half-hour documentary Uncompromising Poet of Surrealism by author and editor Branimir Ježić from 2002, produced by HRT, will be shown. The following is a collage of recordings related to the literary work of Radovan Ivšić and the play King Gordogan from 1999. In the last part of the Film Vault, we show inserts from the play Aiaxaia or the Power to say by Radovan Ivšić, premiered at the CNT in Zagreb in 1983, directed by Vlado Habunek. The screening will be preceded by an interview with Ana Prolić, and the screening will be followed by an interview with director Krešimir Dolenčić, who was assistant director on that production, and actor Zijad Gračić, who made his debut in that play (as well as the late Ena Begović).
