The fourteenth Festival of World Literature will once again bring together the most important names of the Croatian, regional and European literary scene, and for the second year in a row the host of the festival will be the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
After an exceptionally successful edition last year, the festival comes to the HNK 2 complex where the programme will take place on the stage and in the park in front of HNK 2, transforming the centre of Zagreb into a place of encounters between literature, theatre, conversation and the exchange of ideas.
Organised by the publishing house Fraktura, the festival will offer the public, over the course of several days, conversations with prominent writers, poets, essayists, translators, editors and literary critics from Croatia and abroad. Visitors can look forward to meetings with authors, presentations of new books, panels, readings and programmes dedicated to contemporary literature and the social themes shaping our reality.
The Festival of World Literature will once again confirm Zagreb as one of the key regional meeting points for contemporary literature and an audience eager to hear the authors who are defining our time.
