Discover life behind the scenes!
The tour programme has been designed to bring visitors closer to the rich history and diverse artistic activity of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, while offering a rare glimpse behind the scenes into spaces usually inaccessible to the public. In this way, we open the doors to a world where performances are created every day, and where Drama, Opera and Ballet work in harmony.
Alongside the 165 Seasons Behind the Scenes tour, we are also introducing a new programme: a guided visit to the HNK2 (CNT2) complex, home to our set design workshops and a new stage.
During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to explore firsthand the workshops where productions take shape—from the initial idea to the final stage realisation—as well as the stage itself, one of the most technologically advanced performance spaces in this part of Europe.
CNT2 is a space where craftsmanship, art and innovation come together, revealing to audiences what usually remains unseen: the processes, the people and the technology behind the stage magic of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
Tours take place on Saturdays and once a week in afternoon slots, with additional tours available in English. In this way, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb opens its doors even more widely to local audiences and international visitors, offering them the opportunity to experience theatre not only as spectators, but also as participants in the theatrical process.
The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb warmly invites all interested visitors to join us in celebrating our theatre anniversaries and to experience the everyday life of the theatre from a perspective rarely seen before.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Theatre!
