Come to the plateau in front of the new CNT2 building at Ulica Božidara Adžije 7a, on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 7.30 p.m. where a large video wall will be set up to follow the ceremony.
The live broadcast on the first channel of Croatian Television begins at 8.15 p.m. A good atmosphere, drinks, socializing and celebrating the beginning of a new chapter of the national theater company awaits you, with DJ accompaniment from the BSH collective before and after the broadcast on the video wall.
In the year in which we celebrate 130 years since the grand opening of the CNT building in Zagreb, we are opening the doors of our new, modern theater stage – CNT2.
The audience will step into a space that symbolizes the future of performing arts for the first time, and the historic moment will be marked by the festive program Slava umjetnosti 2.0 – a theatrical celebration that connects the past and the future, tradition and innovation. The program is inspired by the ceremony that opened the Croatian National Theatre building in Zagreb in 1895, and in a contemporary interpretation brings together the ensembles of Drama, Opera and Ballet. The stage director is Krešimir Dolenčić, the playwright and co-screenwriter is Dino Pešut, while the orchestra is conducted by Ivan Josip Skender.
