The stars of La Scala will appear as guests in one of the most popular white ballets in the world, Swan Lake, choreographed by Vladimir Malakhov for the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Nicoletta Manni, primaballerina of La Scala Ballet will dance the roles of Odette/Odile and Timofej Andrijashenko, the Latvian ballet artist and principal of Teatro alla Scala will dance the role of Prince Siegfried. The spectators will be able to see them on January 23 and 26, 2024.

The Italian primaballerina first appeared at the CNT in Zagreb last year, at the Ballet Gala concert. She is one of the most prominent ballerinas of today whose repertoire includes the leading roles of the classical and contemporary ballet repertoire. In April 2014, she became a ballet principal, while in November last year she was promoted to a primaballerina or Étoile of the Ballet of Teatro alla Scala.

Timofej Andrijashenko, dancing the role of Prince Siegfried was also a guest of the Ballet Gala concert at the CNT in Zagreb. He is the principal of the Ballet of Teatro alla Scala and is known for his artistic interpretation. He won the Grand Prix Dance Competition award, the MAB 2011 award, as well as the Tanzolymp Berlin award two years later in the category Pas de deux, and the golden medal at the XII. Moscow International Ballet Competition.

Swan Lake is certainly one of the most popular ballets in the world today, and it became a synonym for classical ballet art. After its unsuccessful opening night in 1877 in St. Petersburg, the ballet was restaged after Tchaikovsky's death in 1895, in the famous choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov and gained great success and popularity which lasts until today.
