Long-Lasting Applause and Ovations Mark Premiere of the Agamemnon TrilogyFrom the theatre — 07. February 2026.
On Friday, 6 February 2026, the premiere of The Agamemnon Trilogy 2.0 took place at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb - a new interpretation and continuation of Lada Kaštelan’s acclaimed trilogy, directed by Livija Pandur.
The premiere was highly successful, marked by strong audience reactions, long-lasting applause and ovations that honoured both the performers and the creative team on stage.
The production is a revised and recomposed version of The Agamemnon Trilogy, originally premiered at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb in 1995 and published in the book Before the Gates of Hades, to which the author returns thirty years later. Confronting ancient tragedy with the contemporary world and its inherited traumas, the production brings one of the key works of contemporary Croatian drama back to the stage in a new artistic, political and emotional context.
The production features 19 actors of the CNT Drama ensemble, making The Agamemnon Trilogy 2.0 one of the most extensive and complex drama productions of the season.
The cast includes: Livio Badurina, Živko Anočić, Olga Pakalović, Igor Kovač, Filip Vidović, Tea Ljubešić, Goran Grgić, Nina Violić, Ivana Boban, Luka Dragić, Damir Markovina, Marin Stević, Jadranka Đokić, Alma Prica, Siniša Popović, Marin Klišmanić, Franjo Kuhar, Ivan Grlić and Lana Ujević Telenta.
