The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb invites its citizens to a unique holiday experience this year: on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 7.30 p.m., ballet The Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will be live streamed on a large screen set up in front of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.

This season, The Nutcracker is presented in a completely new production, in the iconic version choreographed by Rudolf Nureyev, that premiered on November 21, 2025 on the stage of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. The streaming will offer everyone who was unable to obtain tickets the opportunity to experience this luxurious ballet in a special holiday atmosphere in the city center this December, for the third year in a row.

The new production of The Nutcracker delighted the audience and critics, receiving praise for the artistic quality of the performance, the demanding choreography and the visual splendor that faithfully conveys the spirit of Nureyev's version. The Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb has shown a high level of readiness for large ensemble scenes, while the main soloists have attracted particular attention with their interpretations.
