On March 20, 2023, the Film vault will show a unique TV adaptation of Ivan Kukuljević Sakcinski's drama Juran and Sofija or The Turks at Sisak.
The screening will last 97 minutes and will be shown in the Drama rehearsal studio. Entrance is free.
The movie was recorded in 1989 in the yard of the Zagreb Cathedral with Zrinko Ogresta as director. This drama performed by the acting company Histrion (stage director Kosta Spajić) successfully modernised all archaisms – both those historical and those dramatic – maintaining the romantic spirit of the canonical model. Krešimir Zidarić, Nada Subotić, Siniša Popović and Ena Begović appear in the leading roles.
