The CNT in Zagreb will be the host of the largest gathering of opera houses and festivals Opera EuropeFrom the theatre — 13. March 2024.
For the first time, the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb will be the host of two significant events for the European cultural community – meeting of general managers, producers and professionals from Europe in the field of Opera art, in co-organisation with the largest association of opera houses and festivals – Opera Europa.
More than 70 general managers, CEOs and opera experts from the entire world will arrive in Zagreb with a goal to pass on their knowledge, ideas, and positive theatre practices to opera professionals. Two educational programs have been organised for this purpose: Opera Management Course and Artistic Administration and Producing Forum, that will take place from March 18 to 23, 2024.
It was an honour to accept the invitation from Opera Europe, the largest association of opera houses and festivals to be the host of the “Opera Management Course”, intensive educational program that is led by prominent opera professionals from opera houses throughout Europe and North America and a significant specialist forum – meeting „Artistic Administration and Producing.“ The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb continues to be an active partner in numerous European projects and initiatives and we are proud that the work of our theatre has been recognised by colleagues around the globe, emphasised the general manager of the CNT in Zagreb, Iva Hraste Sočo.
Opera Management Course will be held in Zagreb between March 18 and 21, 2024, and lectures on various aspects of production of performative arts, such as programming and planning, financial management, human resources and administrative issues, marketing and communications, management of creative and business process, will be held by leading professionals in the field of production.
Producers will be joined by general managers, directors and production leaders who will share their experiences from March 21 to 23, 2024 at the Artistic Administration and Producing Forum. The goal of the forum is the exchange of positive practices, ideas, challenges, and tools that are daily implemented in business and artistic production.
Opera Europa has been hosted for a long number of years in many European countries such as Hungary, Italy, Spain, Austria, France, Poland and Germany, and this year the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb will welcome the leading heads of Opera Europa, led by Karen Stone.
