Rock’n’Roll in Zagreb

On Sunday, July 7, starting at 8:30 p.m., in front of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, the audience will be treated to a big open-air party dedicated to the biggest hits that have been played on Zagreb's dance floors from the 1960s until today. Under the leadership of the author duo Ante Gela and the actor Nikša Kušelj of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, in collaboration with Jutarnji list, the drama and opera artists of the National Theater in Zagreb will sing, while the members of the Ballet ensemble of the National Theater in Zagreb will dance with the audience.

But before the concert itself, the traditional awarding of annual awards for the best artistic achievements in the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb in the past season will take place.Mila Dimitrijević awards for the best achievements in drama performances, Vladimir Ruždjak/Marijana Radev awards for the best achievements in opera performances, and Oskar Harmoš/Ana Roje awards for the best achievements in ballet performances.

At the end of this theater season, the audience, singing the songs of the Zagreb dancers in front of the National Theater in Zagreb, will take part in a time machine of good music through the decades, in a city that has always been a nursery of iconic bands and songs. Namely, for the fourth year in a row, a dedication to Zagreb is being organized in the form of a big concert for all citizens on Trg Republike Hrvatske. This time the program is designed in four acts. The 60s: Ribnjak and dancers, the 70s: Saloon and hippies, the 80s: Kulušić and pop-art, and the 90s: Apocalypse and the new era will be intertwined, and finally parting with Nostalgia and new dawns.
