Dr. Iva Hraste Sočo again a jury member of the prestigious International Opera AwardFrom the theatre — 13. November 2025.
Dr. Iva Hraste Sočo, a second year in a row is a member of the international jury of the prestigious International Opera Award. This yearꞌs awarding ceremony was held on November 13, 2025 a the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the Greek National Opera in Athens, a ceremony hosted by BBCꞌs reporter Petroc Trelawny with the appearance of international opera stars.
Among this yearꞌs laureates are Asmik Grigorian for female singer of the year, stage director Claus Guth, conductor of the year Alain Altinoglu, while Marina Rebeka was selected by the readers o Opera News as best singer. These acknowledgements confirm the immense power and vitality of contemporary opera art and the high criteria according to which the jury and The International Opera Award, founded in 2012 is granted to best artists, festivals, theatres and productions around the globe and the general manager of the CNT in Zagreb Iva Hraste Sočo participates in the jury which gathers together prominent opera critics, artists and managers from more than 25 countries. Her participation in this prestigious event is an acknowledgement of her work and a confirmation of the international reputation the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb has on the world opera stage.
