Swan Lake in Vladimir Malakhov’s choreography premiered at the CNT in Zagreb

The Zagreb Ballet premiered P. I. Tchaikovsky’s ballet Swan Lake, a title that has always been awaited with great expectations, on March 17, 2017. The choreographer of this production is the renowned dancer and choreographer Vladimir Malakhov. For the first time Malakhov created Swan Lake. Until now he has staged popular classical titles such as The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella or La Bayadere, and this first production was created especially for the Zagreb ballet ensemble. The conductor was Dian Tchobanov who is a permanent conductor of the Ballet of the CNT in Zagreb from the beginning of this year. The set and costume designer is Jordi Roig with Enrique Conde as assistant, Deni Šesnić is the light designer and Emi Hariyama is the assistant choreographer. The ballet masters for this production are Iraida Lukashova, Mihaela Devald Roksandić, Milka Hribar Bartolović, Suzana Bačić and Leonard Jakovina.

The cast for March 20 and 21, 2017 is: Miruna Miciu (20.3.) and Natalia Horsnell (21.3.) as Odette/Odilia, Andrea Schifano (20.3.) and Guilherme Gameiro Alves (21.3.) as Prince Siegfried, Guilherme Gameiro Alves (20.3.) and George Stanciu (21.3.) as Rothbart, Takuya Sumitomo as the Court Jester, Mihaela Devald Roksandić as the Queen Mother, Andrej Izmestjev as Prince’s Tutor/Master of ceremony, Catarina Meneses as the Russian Princess, Iva Vitić Gameiro as thePolish Princess, Rieka Suzuki as the Neapolitan Princess, Tammy Higgins as the Spanish Pricness, Lucija Radić as the Hungarian Princess, etc.
