One of the most esteemed ballet artists of today also known as the new Nureyev, the international dance star Roberto Bolle has invited ballet artists of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb as guests at his Gala concert Roberto Bolle & Friends in Milan at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi. The Ballet of the CNT in Zagreb will participate in four shows from October 28 to October 30, 2023, with an excerpt from Decadance, the ballet hit performance of the CNT in Zagreb choreographed by Ohad Naharin. Bolle's gala concerts have a carefully designed program that requires top quality dance technique, breaking of taboos and a combination of great ballet classics and innovative choreographies followed by contemporary ballet trends. This invitation is a great acknowledgement to our ballet ensemble and the CNT in Zagreb and this participation will position our theatre as an important segment of the European ballet stage and contribute to greater visibility of our central national theatre.

Ballet Gala concert Roberto Bolle & Friends is the most popular dance performance in Italy and one of the most significant ones in Europe. Bolle over the years has gathered the greatest ballet artists from the Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, La Scala, Stuttgart Ballet and other prestigious ensembles. His performances are given at the most beautiful world venues and every year they are seen by more than 40 000 spectators. Therefore, for the Zagreb Ballet this is a very important moment at which we shall show our quality, said Massimiliano Volpini, the director of the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.

Our dancers will perform along Roberto Bolle, Melissa Hamilton and Fumi Kaneko from London, Bakhtiyar Adamzhan from Kazahstan, Antonio Casalinho and Margarita Fernandes from Portugal, Casio Vengoechem from Canada and Toon Lobach from the Netherlands. Roberto Bolle performed with the Zagreb ensemble last year in November at the gala concert held at the CNT in Zagreb when also a part from Decadance was shown. At this concert he appeared in two numbers – pas de deux L‘Altro Casanova choreographed by Gianluca Schiavoni to Vivaldi's music which he danced with Virna Toppi, primaballerina from La Scala and in the solo In Your Black Eyes choreographed by Patrick de Bana to the music Rain in Your Black Eyes by Ezi Bosso.

Teatro degli Arcimboldi has an auditorium for 2300 visitors and more than several thousand spectators will watch the broadcasted program. Tickets are sold out for all the four performances.
