Hamlet, the most famous and the most often performed Shakespeare’s tragedy, has been intriguing and thrilling the generations of theatre artists and viewers all over the world for more than four centuries. The exciting story tells of a Danish prince who is frenetically trying to find the cause of his father’s sudden death, getting involved in family secrets and state affairs. The search for the killer, the search for the meaning of life, love and death are just some parts of this magnificent tragedy of the immortal bard.

Hamlet is a character which bears all features of a modern man torn by doubts and fears, but at the same time determined and uniquely brave in the search for truth. Hamlet is a prototype of a human being who cannot live in the present until he has fully shed light on the past, no matter how big the price. This master-piece of the world drama literature will be performed in cooperation with Dubrovnik Summer Festival,
bringing the Danish prince back on the stage of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb after almost a decade.
