At Theresienburg, in Hungary, Ramong Gejza, a young Austro-Hungarian ober-lieutenant who has committed a suicide, is being buried. In the strict military hierarchy, such an act is unacceptable. This performance, based on the Prose on the Glembays by Miroslav Krleža, with a series of flashbacks and parallel stories, tries to illuminate the reasons which have brought the young man to a tragic end. With poignant exchange of dark tones and witty, ironic situations, the downfall of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy at the dawn of the First World War is depicted. The show has been made in co-production with Croatian Theatre from Pecsi, and has been successfully performed both in Hungary and in Croatia.
