One of the oldest Croatian humanitarian actions called „Step into Life“ continued this year as well. The action is to help young parentless people who have to leave their foster homes throughout Croatia and its direct purpose is to improve their living conditions.
Every year since 2008, „Step into Life“ funds young people who have to leave their orphan homes or families. This action is in its ninth year and up to now through „Step into Life“ more than 200 young scholarship holders have been given an opportunity to continue their education and get a university degree thanks to good people. There were more than 220 individual scholarships each in the monthly value of 1.600,00 HRK covering a five-year study period with mentor supervision.
The basic idea of this humanitarian action „Step into Life“ is to gather everyone who can contribute in the realisation of this noble cause and who wish to give a trace of hope to those who have experienced the lack of warmth and love that a family can offer and to help them, means to help those who are most in need.
The great finale of this year’s action took place at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb on November 12, 2017 at 8 p.m. where ballet „Swan Lake“ was performed. This officially marked the ending of the fund-raising cycle. Along the ticket sale for this ballet performance, funds are also being collected through the phone number 060 9002, a phone line that is open until January 15, 2018 and through direct payments to the bank account of this manifest 2360000-110205285.
