The anniversary season will be opened by the world premiere of the work based upon the poetry of Dobriša Cesarić, a great Croatian poet of the 20th century.

In cooperation with Music Biennale Zagreb, the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb will present the world premiere of a contemporary Croatian work, same as in the last fifty years since the establishing of this world-important musical event.

The famous novel by the celebrated Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes about the ingenious knight Don Quijote, was written at the beginning of the 17th century and created the prototype of the noble knight who, accompanied by his faithful servant Sancho Panza, experiences numerous adventures all over Spain.

Variations in f.ado minor, choreographed by Hugo Viera, will bring the traditional Portuguese fado back on the ballet stage in Zagreb. Hugo Viera, Portuguese dancer and choreographer of younger generation, has already registered his name among the most interesting contemporary European choreographers.
